Summer time is the best time to hop on your bike and enjoy the beautiful scenery and fantastic trails Toronto has to offer. Enjoy the rest of the summer and check out some great trails in Toronto.

High Park
Check out one of our favourite neighbourhoods! High Park Area Trails is a 5.3 kilometer moderately trafficked loop and is accessible all year-round. It’s one of the biggest parks in the city with off trail roads, paved walkways and a wooden board walk to explore this beautiful area.

Humber Bay Park Trail
With Mimico Creek on one end and Humber Bay Park West on the other, this trail gives you fantastic views of Lake Ontario making it a scenic and urban place!

Humber Valley Trail
Start near the Old Mill subway stop, off Bloor Street, where you can cycle or walk your bike down by the historic Old Mill Inn and Restaurant, and more!

Toronto Waterfront Trail
This route gives you the best of both worlds; enjoy beautiful Toronto sites as well as the waters of Lake Ontario. This route will enable you to visit the Music Garden, Sunnyside Pavilion and Ontario Place, to name a few. This route is also ideal if you want to include concerts, art exhibits and cultural festivals at Harbourfront Centre as part of your biking adventure. You can start off at Sunnyside Pavilion and continue all the way to the Harbour Front along Queen’s Quay.

Centennial Park – Etobicoke Creek Trail
The trail runs along the border between Mississauga and Toronto. This is a long trail in the river bed area of the Etobicoke Creek. Stretching from the 401 in the north to Ponytail Drive in the south. Meandering along both sides of the river the trails have wider path-like sections mixed with stretches of easy-to-ride single-track. There’s approximately 10 kilometers of trail in total.

Toronto Islands
While there has been a lot of flooding damage in the Toronto Islands, when the island opens up completely, it’s a must see! Ride around the island and enjoy the breathtaking Toronto skyline. You can rent bikes on the island near the Centre Island ferry stop or take your bike over on one of the three ferries –Ward’s, Centre Island or Hanlon’s Point. Either way, the views are magnificent!

Scarlett Mills Park
Scarlett Mills Park is located on the west bank of the Humber River near Eglinton Avenue. You can enter Scarlett Mills Park from Edenbridge Drive. The park is situated on Scarlett Road; take the 79 from Runnymede Station or the Eglinton West 32 bus to get there. Pedestrians and cyclists can travel through the park along the Tommy Thompson Trail.

These are just a few trails that Toronto has to offer but they’re worth while! If you’re also looking to rent a bike in the city you can check these places out:
